Ashley is a highly respected member of the New Zealand Property Industry and is well known in property circles as the Chairman of PropertyPlus - an organisation which acts as an advocate for Home Owners and Property Investors. Between 2005 and 2007 he was CEO of the Auckland Property Investors Association and is broadly credited with transforming that organisation into a modern and relevant industry body.

Ashley has developed a wealth of priceless property industry knowledge and experience spanning over 20 years. Between 2002 and 2004 he operated an Auckland-based Property Investment Consultancy known as Princo (The Property Investment Company) and has made Seminar presentations to thousands of people on the fundamentals of ethical property investment.

Ashley has appeared on 'My House, My Castle', 'NZ Open Home', and 'ASB I want to Buy a Home'. He is also regularly consulted by the media and has been featured/quoted in New Zealand Property magazine, the NZ Herald, the Dominion Post, the Sunday Star Times, Radio New Zealand, the Radio Network and various other media outlets. Ashley is also a former City Councillor, having served 3 terms on the Napier City Council between 1989 and 1998.
